Company Information

Owner, Jimmy Williams

To work with the different and the unusual is Jimmy Williams' reasons for starting his watch repair service. He started collecting old watches as a "hobby" many years ago. Then he started tinkering with them, interested in their make-up, etc. His curiosity led him to complete an Associates Degree in Horology (the study of time) at Mountain View Junior College.

After having worked for many years as a shoe salesman, he decided to start work as a clock repairman. After a while, however, he did not like working with these large pieces, he wanted to work with the smaller pieces because many people were not interested to work in this highly specialized area. He, therefore, decided to do watch repairs. He worked for 16 years at Service Merchandise until they eliminated that department.

With a determination to have his own business, he opened his watch repair service, called Jimmy's Watch Repair in a flea market. The business grew and he needed more space. His business is presently located at 344 E. Beltline, Suite 117 in DeSoto.

Jimmy's specialty is completely restoring old watches. He makes repairs on all watches like cleaning, crystals, stems, crowns, batteries, etc. His business also consist of repairing and making jewelry.

A Christian family man, Jimmy believes in giving the best possible service at the best possible price. When not repairing watches, he is working diligently at Church where he holds numerous offices, including Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He has also served as Vice President of the Dallas Watchmakers Guild.
